Why we do what we do

We pride ourselves on being choosy when it comes to clients. 🍋

To close out 2023, we’re highlighting 4 human-centric clients who impressed us this past year.

Fermented Food Holdings (FFH)*

*the parent company for brands like Bubbies Fine Foods LLC & wildbrine 🥒

What we love: In addition to their commitment to health & community, the leaders at FFH don’t shy away from making hard decisions that are right for them. They’re committed to building a strong company culture & enduring business.

Their C-suite has made the decision to relocate to Madison, WI, where they’re building out corporate & production HQ. They’re also already taking steps to be a good Wisconsin neighbor - building relationships with various local agricultural & food-related non-profits. We’re excited to watch them grow & continue to invest in one of our favorite cities. 🌱

The chances of a Bubbie’s or wildbrine sighting at the Farmer’s Market next spring just increased significantly.

When St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the Country Music Hall of Fame, or the National Civil Rights Museum want a custom, memorable exhibit for their patrons to experience, they work with 1220 to bring it to life. You can call them a true “Nashville Original'' - they’ve been an employer of choice in the Music City area for over 51 years, and they’re still growing. 🎼

What we love: 1220 has a great reputation as a premier employer in the Nashville area. They’d been recruiting for multiple roles through Indeed, but they felt like things weren’t working optimally.

They knew they would need multiple roles filled over a series of months, so instead of opening a direct placement search for one role, Rise acts as their outsourced full service recruiting team. Reviewing inbound candidates, sourcing outbound candidates, screening & scheduling – we’re completely flexible to do it all, and it's been fun becoming experts in such a creative and meaningful industry.

When you’ve been successfully making kitchen & bath remodel dreams come true for 6 decades, you’ve earned the right to be called an innovative and enduring business.

What we love: As we’ve gotten to know Dan Luck, the President & Owner of Bella, he’s consistently demonstrated his commitment to human-centric leadership. He cares deeply about the team & their families, and he has an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Dan stands out as a leader who’s not afraid to take risks, pivot the business, and invest in the success of his team. Beyond business, Dan’s leadership extends to the classroom - he leads business school classes & is actively involved in multiple Madison-based builder & designer professional networks.

You know that feeling when you wake up to familiar sounds & the smell of hot coffee in your childhood home on Christmas morning?

That’s how it feels for Molly and me to work in the fascinating & important world of healthcare technology. We’ve spent many years recruiting in the industry, so partnering with John Freeman to assist an academic medical center in streamlining their revenue cycle was familiar & fun.

John is a motivated, impressive entrepreneur who's drawn on his deep expertise to build a remote team of top-notch consultants delivering solutions that address some of the most pressing issues in healthcare today - technology investment & workplace operations.

What we love: John’s team is small and dispersed, but he puts real effort into building community among his fully remote staff. An example? Revigate is based in New Orleans, and John’s been known to buy a Mardi Gras float and bring his whole team together to enjoy the holiday & build relationships in person.  They’re motivated by a real drive to do good in an industry that literally saves lives.

In a world where a good manager is no longer a given, we appreciate all of you leaders who tirelessly remind us why we do what we do.
